Annual Appeal Leadership Phase Gets Underway

A letter from the president of Connecticut Audubon Society about the Leadership Phase of our Annual Appeal:

Connecticut Audubon Society has started the leadership phase of the 2012 CAS Annual Appeal. During the leadership phase, our campaign chairs and committee will be focusing on Connecticut Audubon’s strongest supporters and inviting them to make a leadership level pledge. Leadership level pledges are considered to be $1,000 or higher. The Leadership Phase builds momentum to be carried through to the Community Phase where we seek greater participation.

The 2012 CAS Annual Appeal provides essential support to our core conservation programs – education and advocacy. The goal is $425,000. This is the single largest fund raising initiative where all members and donors are invited to make a pledge to the campaign.

The campaign encourages pledges over a five-month period ending April 30th. Pledges make it more likely for supporters to make larger commitments by making payments over time.

The Chairs for the 2012 CAS Annual Appeal are Ross and Barbara Strickland, Steve Oresman and Ralph Wood. Ross, Barbara and Steve are past Chairs of the Board and Ralph Wood is the current Chair. They have banded together to show their long-time support of Connecticut Audubon.
