Preschool children ages 1-4 are not too young to be aware and inspired by the world around them, so start your child on the right foot with a love of nature. Starting January 11, the Budding Naturalist Program will meet on seven Wednesdays from 10-11 a.m. to explore habitats in Earl Park. As a mom, dad, grandparent or caregiver, you can experience the joy of exploration with your child – a joy you can continue at home. Dress for the weather; we will spend about 30-45 minutes outdoors.
These are the ideal ages for nature to impact the health benefits on children’s brain development, eyesight, and disposition. Studies show that children who spend time outdoors are happier, healthier, and smarter.
Program dates are January 11, 25; February 1, 15 and March 1, 15, 29 at the Connecticut Audubon Society, 1361 Main St, Glastonbury CT 06033. Members $13/class, non-members $15.
