By
making meaningful and lasting connections between people and nature,
Connecticut Audubon puts Connecticut, its citizens and ecosystems, first.
Connecticut Audubon Society, an independent non-profit, is the state’s
oldest and largest environmental education organization, dedicated to
advancing people’s knowledge and appreciation of Connecticut’s diverse
wildlife and habitats. Our mission is accomplished by providing excellence
in environmental education, encouraging conservation of the state’s natural
resources and advocating for enlightened leadership on ecological matters.
With a comprehensive network of professional educators, seven nature
facilities and 19 wildlife sanctuaries around the state, Connecticut
Audubon’s environmental programs, conservation activities and legislative
advocacy engage over 200,000 people annually.
By understanding nature in our own backyards,
neighborhoods, towns and state, students of today will become active
environmental stewards of tomorrow. Connecticut Audubon Society encourages
people of all ages to be aware of the challenges confronting Connecticut’s
environment, provides information about reasonable solutions and motivates
citizens to effect positive change.
Join the Connecticut
Audubon Society as a member and enjoy a rewarding journey through
nature.
