With spring rains and snowmelt, pools that typically are dry throughout summer, become breeding habitat for woodland amphibians. Peepers, wood frogs and spotted salamanders congregate at these vernal pools. Our trained volunteers search vernal pools for these breeding amphibians and their egg masses. Call to register for one of the training sessions at 860-928-4948. Fee: $10 for CAS members; $15 for non-members.
