“[J.J.] Henry boomed a 361-yard drive, the longest of the tournament,
the ball landing about 80 yards from the green. With thousands lining
the bowl-shaped hole, the long walk up the fairway was worth every step.”
                                                                                             (USA Today, July 2006)

Connecticut Audubon Society's
"Let the Birdies Fly" Golf Tournament

affords players the opportunity to take that same
"long walk up the fairway" as J.J. Henry did in winning the 2006 Buick Championship at TPC River Highlands.

This year's Our 2008 "Let the Birdies Fly"
Golf Tournament will be held:

Monday, September 15, 2008
8:30 a.m.: Registration & Breakfast.
10:00 a.m.: Shotgun start, Scramble format.
2:00 p.m. (approx.): Lunch & Awards Program.

"Last year we raised over $60,000 to support Connecticut Audubon Society’s important mission of conserving Connecticut’s birdlife and habitats through science-based education and advocacy. These funds are used wisely: that's why Charity Navigator just gave Connecticut Audubon Society its highest, 4-star charity rating!"

"We are privileged to live in such a naturally beautiful state. Protecting our native birds' habitats also protects the land we value -- from open space to our own backyards. Last year’s players had the chance to play a professional course at TPC River Highlands, received breakfast, lunch, a gift bag AND a travel golf bag! Your participation helps a great cause and you are guaranteed a memorable day of golf and more. Hope to see you there!” said Mim Schreck, 2008 Golf Tournament Chair.
