Subscribe to Our Blog Via E-mail

The process of subscribing to a blog is different in almost every operating system on the market and we know that some of our viewers have Macs while we work mostly on PCs. Here are instructions for subscribing to our blog if you have Windows XP or Windows 7. The steps should be similar for other operating systems including those for Macs.

Windows 7

To begin, click on the link next to the RSS symbol that says, “The Connecticut Audubon Society’s Conservation Blog.”

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Choose among the options in the drop down menu. For this example we will choose Microsoft Outlook.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Confirm that you want to subscribe by clicking on “Yes.”

That’s it! Blog posts will now be delivered to you via e-mail.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Windows XP

Choose among the options in the drop down menu. Outlook or your preferred e-mail program may not be available in the drop down list of applications. In that case you would choose, “Choose Application.”

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

From the resulting window, double-click on Local Disk (C:)

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Then double-click on Program Files

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Then double-click on Microsoft Office

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Then double-click on OFFICE11

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

And finally, click on OUTLOOK.EXE

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Click on the “Subscribe Now” button and say, “Yes” if prompted to accept the subscription.

Mac

Mac users, pick “Choose Application” in the drop-down menu and then chose Mail.
