General Information
Our Ragged Hill Woods Program has been providing hands-on, high-quality and innovative environmental education in Connecticut's northeast corner since 1975. The program is designed to nurture a life-long respect for our environment and cultivate a sense of wonder and appreciation for the complexities and interconnections that characterize our planet.
The program is a unique model of collaboration involving Connecticut Audubon Society, Eastern Connecticut State University, the University of Connecticut Cooperative Extension System and the Windham County 4-H Foundation, Inc.

Our Ragged Hill Woods Program currently offers 13 different Field Study Programs and 21 different Classroom Programs for Grades K-6. Programs are designed to complement and enrich your school's science curriculum, and each satisfies various Connecticut Science Framework standards.
