Mountainfilm on Tour
On April 6 at 7 p.m., we are hosting a new family-oriented event at Smith Middle School in Glastonbury: The Mountainfilm Festival. Similar to the Banff Mountain Film Festival that Audubon co-hosted some years ago with North Cove Outfitters, this event will present top-quality independent films oriented toward outdoor sports and adventure, mountain culture and conservation topics.
Doors will open at 6 p.m. at Smith Middle School, 216 Addison Rd, Glastonbury, CT 06033. The show will consist of eight to twelve short films running from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Connecticut Audubon members $12, non-members $15; children 10 & under $8.

Funds raised from this exciting new event will support the Connecticut Audubon Society’s mission, to conserve Connecticut’s environment through science-based education and advocacy focused on the state’s bird populations and habitats. We do this through a dynamic mix of nature programs, citizen science programs, naturalist training courses, conservation-oriented public lectures and our award-winning K-12 STEM-based outdoor education program, Science in Nature.
