Native Plant Sale to Benefit Connecticut Audubon’s Local Conservation Work

Thank you! The plant sale was a great success and will really help us transform the Smith Richardson Preserve into an amazing coastal wildlife habitat. Thanks especially to the generosity of Oliver Nurseries!

Earth Day Weekend

Saturday, April 21, 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Sunday, April
22, 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.

Oliver Nurseries, 1159 Bronson Road, Fairfield

The Connecticut Audubon Society is teaming up with Oliver Nurseries in Fairfield to offer native Connecticut trees, shrubs and perennials at remarkable discounts to Connecticut Audubon members.

These plants have been chosen for their remarkable attractiveness to songbirds, hummingbirds, butterflies, bees and other precious native wildlife.

All across the state, Connecticut Audubon is working hard to restore its 20 sanctuaries and is in the midst of a $300,000 renovation at the Smith Richardson Wildlife Preserve in Southport and Greens Farms.

This Native Plant Sale is Oliver’s generous contribution to that project.

Oliver’s is offering native plants at enormous savings while providing you the opportunity to donate these purchases to the project or plant them in your own home garden

Connecticut Audubon Society members will receive a 20% discount on all native plants purchased if they purchase one native plant (at a 50% discount) for donation to our Smith Richardson restoration project.

Supplies may be limited, so get there early to load up on any of the following selections.

  • Trees: Native Oaks, Hickory, Tupelo, Persimmon, Sassafras, Cedar, Aspen, Spruce, Pine, American Holly, Beech, Elm, Hackberry, Mulberry
