Groundhog Day

Only one animal has a day named after him! Learn all about this “super sleeper” and other hibernators that live in the Northeast. How do these animals stay warm all winter long? How did Punxsutawney Phil come to predict an early spring or 6 more weeks of winter? Learn about the science of shadows, make your own self-portrait shadow silhouette and make your own spring arrival prediction!  For families with children age 5 and up.
