A weekend challenge celebrating the return of spring migratory birds

May 19, 2020 — The Connecticut Audubon Society’s annual Migration Madness Birdathon is back for 2020.

Starting Friday, May 22 through Sunday, May 24, this family-oriented weekend of local birding is a fun and friendly competition to see as many bird species as possible over three days.

Designed for beginners to experts, the Birdathon is an especially great activity for kids and families around the state. Individuals will collect pledges, then safely look for birds right in their neighborhood.

Whether you participate all weekend, or for a few hours, the main idea is to get outdoors and enjoy the birds!

All who take part in Connecticut Audubon’s Birdathon, with a pledge of any amount, will support environmental research, education programs and bird conservation projects around the state. .

Details about the 2020 Birdathon, including registration, how to submit a bird list, prize eligibility, a photo contest and more, is on the Migration Madness website. For more information, please email: migrationmadness@ctaudubon.org.
