Milford Point as an Example of a Conservation Hot Spot

During this nature walk around the Coastal Center, participants will engage in a discussion of current conservation issues on the local level. This dialogue will be led by Dr. George Amato, Director Emeritus at the American Museum of Natural History and Coastal Center board member, who will share insights based on his 31 years of international conservation research. Dr. Amato has become a priceless resource for the Center on issues pertaining to conservation and conservation education. (More information on Dr. Amato here.)

Participants are required to wear masks and practice social distancing (mask removal at the discretion of the program leader). The entire program is outdoors, so please bring water, a sun hat and apply sunblock and bug spray before arriving. Note: Center building and facilities (including restrooms) are closed, however, there are portable toilets available (please bring hand sanitizer).

This program is for adults only. Group is limited to 10 participants. Please bring binoculars. Members $10, Non-members $15. Rain date is Monday, July 27. Pre-registration required.
