Fern Identification Walk

Join botanist Jim Cortina to learn about one of the oldest groups of plants on earth…ferns! This outdoor, adult program includes an introductory talk followed by a walk to identify a number of ferns in the Larsen Sanctuary.
Fun facts about ferns include: ferns range from 2 inches to 30 feet high, they have neither seeds nor flowers, and most modern fern families first appeared during the age of the dinosaurs. Come and learn more about these fascinating plants!

Once registered, participants will need to complete a waiver and will be required to practice social distancing and wear masks. This will be held at the Center at Fairfield, 2325 Burr Street, Fairfield, CT.
