Winter Bird Walks
While many are dormant in winter, there are still plenty of bird species to see out and about during the colder months, including some of our most charismatic species. We’ll bundle up and search for these hardy birds at some of the best birding spots in southern Connecticut. $13 members; $18 non-members
– Griswold Point walk will be approximately 1 mile out and back on level sandy and grassy terrain. Exposure to wind, cold, and sun possible, depending on weather. No restrooms.
– Barn Island walk will be approximately 1.5-2 mile out and back on level dirt terrain. Exposire to wind, cold, and sun possible, depending on weather. No restrooms.
– Rocky Neck walk will be approximately 1-1.5 mile loop on level grassy, sandy, and dirt terrain. Exposure to wind, cold, and sun possible, depending on weather. Porta potties near parking area.
