Rarity Chases

Have you ever wanted to search for a rarity near Connecticut, but couldn’t find directions, or were concerned about going alone? Here’s your chance to join CAS EcoTravel Rarities Expeditions. We’ll provide the transportation, driver(s), company, and experienced leadership. This is how it works: first, call EcoTravel to sign on. When a bird of significance is in the area, EcoTravel will contact you with the chance to join the adventure. You have the option to come along or wait for the next big rarity. The fee will be determined by how far we have to drive for each bird. In the event that we fill our vans, and you would still like to come along, we can provide you with a reduced rate for driving your own vehicle. Call 800-996-8747 to get your name on the list!

Travel Insurance Protection

Any U.S. citizen traveling these days should consider insurance protection. Reasonably priced coverage is available to provide protection against financial loss due to trip cancellation or delay, as well as lost baggage. In addition, your U.S.-based health plan may not cover you outside of the US. Additional insurance to cover an emergency medical evacuation, trip delay, lost baggage, etc. is available through our provider. To acquire insurance, travelers may contact the CAS office (800-996-8747) to have us send a brochure or call the insurance company (Travelex) directly at 1-800-228-9792. Travelers will need to give the following number to Travelex to be sure to get the best insurance plan and to associate you with Connecticut Audubon Society:

Location Number: 07-6073 Suggested Coverage: Travel Max

Family Rates

Family travel can offer some of the most joyful and cherished experiences of our lives. Perhaps you can remember how a journey somewhere helped shape your own life, or helped create memories and understanding and love among family members. I know that holds true for many of us at CAS. But if you’ve ever traveled with your family to some of the world’s wild places, you already know that there is no experience that brings people closer together. There’s a real thrill that accompanies discovering wildlife and meeting people from different cultures in a friendly, easy way. That’s the kind of atmosphere we try to create for families on all of our tours. Please, call for special family rates.
