Why do birds sing? How and where do they raise babies? How can we use the signs around us to know if birds are breeding? Join Dr. Allyson Jackson, assistant professor of environmental studies at Purchase College SUNY,
for a nature walk through Deer Pond Farm to better understand the birds that breed in our region. For those interested in the Connecticut Bird Atlas, we will talk about how to identify and rank signs of breeding, which is important for your atlas counts.
Dress for the weather. Inclement weather cancels. Bring binoculars, camera and a sense of adventure.
