Jane and George Pratt Valley Preserve

Cascades Road, Bridgewater and New Milford
Our sanctuaries are open daily year-round, dawn to dusk.

Features
The Pratt Valley Preserve is part of a working organic farm. The preserve includes an oak-maple-cedar forest, meadows, and a spectacular hemlock gorge and cascade.

Trails
Trails traverse the non-farm part of property.

Birds
Pratt Valley Preserve is a good place to look for migratory songbirds in spring and fall. Red-tailed Hawks nest on the preserve, and fall migration often results in numerous raptors passing through. Eastern Bluebirds nest on the property. Barn Swallows nested there previously and the hope is that they will return.

Other Wildlife
White-tailed deer woodchuck, fox, coyote, among other species.

Facilities
A pull-off parking with room for about four cars.
