Join Coastal Center teacher-naturalist Carol Kratzman as she shares the story of a nesting pair of Great Horned Owls from courtship to successfully fledging two babies in the trees behind her house.
From the first distinctive calls heard in December to sightings of the female on the nest in January, Carol will share photos and video of the chicks from first fluffy peek to “branching” out.
Discover what’s for dinner in the owl nest, owl calls and behaviors, and other interesting facts about Connecticut’s largest year-round owl.
While we are offering this program for free, we ask that you consider a suggested donation of $10.
