The Big Sit! It’s Almost Here!
Help the Coastal Center’s Birds by Supporting the Big Sit Bird Challenge on October 11!
We’re almost halfway to our goal of $5000!
Six of New England’s best birders will be representing the Connecticut Audubon Society in this year’s International Big Sit Bird Challenge. The team — Frank Mantlik, Jim and Patrick Dugan, Frank Gallo, Tina Green, and Tom Murray, dubbed the Surf Scopers — will be trying to raise more than $5,000 by identifying as many species of birds as possible from one spot (an observation platform in the dunes).
This year the Coastal Center at Milford Point will be celebrating its 25th Anniversary, every dollar you pledge will help us sustain our important, far-reaching, education and conservation efforts.
