Spaces are still available for the Connecticut Audubon Society’s summer camp in Fairfield, which offers full and half-day sessions in a unique learning environment. Campers ages 4 through 14 attend week-long, science and nature-themed programs that use the varied habitats of the Larsen Wildlife Sanctuary and the Center’s interactive classroom facilities to inspire and build a life-long connection to, and appreciation for, the natural world.
The staff is led by teacher-naturalists, with education/science experience, and is trained in first aid, CPR and Epi-Pen. High staff-to-camper ratio ensures a safe camp experience. Options for before and after care, and “lunch bunch” are available for half-day sessions.

The world of birdwatching can be intimidating, but it doesn’t have to be! This gentle introduction assumes nothing, except that you are curious to learn more about enjoying these wondrous creatures. We will cover use of binoculars and the variety of clues that help to identify different kinds of birds. Bring binoculars if you have them (if not, you can borrow a pair), and all the questions you have about birdwatching but were afraid to ask.
