NEW Wednesday Photography Workshops

Most sessions 6-8 p.m.

Geoff Bolte, owner of Clarus Studios, is a wonderful all around photographer. He will be offering an 8-week series on nature photography, sharing his skills and techniques under a variety of day time and night time conditions. Plenty of outside shooting depending on weather. 

Topics to be covered include: 

  • Basic Photography Skills
  • Nature at Conn Audubon – animals & plants of the Bafflin Sanctuary
  • Night Sky Photography –sunsets/meteor showers
  • Fast Shutter Photography – bubbles & hummers/birds
  • Slow Shutter Photography – tools for slower/panning/silky water
  • Macro Photography – water drops
  • Editing Basics – lightroom/photoshop
  • Free Range – snap what you like

Fees: $10/per class CAS members; $20/per class non-members OR
$40/8-week session CAS members; $80/8-week session non-members.

Guided Ecology Paddle

August 12, 2017 9:00 am - 12:00 pm

Explore the maze of channels in Whalebone Cove, one of the most placid and wildlife-filled habitats in the lower Connecticut River.We embark from the boat launch next to the Hadlyme Ferry Landing; please have your canoe or kayak ready to go at 9 AM. Life jackets are required, and binoculars are strongly recommended. Cost is $30 or $25 for students.
