Eagle Program by Horizon Wings

Meet “Skywalker” the Golden Eagle, the newest addition to the Horizon Wings Raptor Rehabilitation & Education Center. Skywalker has been reunited with his friend Chrysos, a female Golden Eagle and joined by Atka the Bald Eagle.  Come and see these magnificent birds of prey at the Center at Pomfret.  For more information on these eagles and other birds of prey, visit www.horizonwings.org.  Suggested donation: $10 per person.

Toddler Trails and Tales

Center volunteer and mom of three, Melissa Telford will entertain your toddlers with stories, activities and winter fun along our trails. Wear clothes and boots appropriate for the cold weather. Kids Day Off

Additional Winter Tracking Hikes

Sat. February 4 – Training hike;  location TBA

Sat. Feb 18 – Training hike; location TBA Sat.

March 4 – Woodstock training/monitoring hike Willington/Canterbury to be added.

All hikes are 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. and subject to change due to weather. Full training is six hikes; participants select hikes that suit their schedule throughout the year. Registration is required. Training fee per hike: $50 CAS members/$60 non-members.
