The Connecticut Coalition for Pesticide Reform is organizing this conference for advocates, residents, and government officials interested in reducing the use of neonicotinoid pesticides in the state.
The afternoon will feature nationally- and internationally-known speakers and panelists, and discussions about how to work together with government officials to strictly limit the use of neonics.
Date and time: March 11, 2024. Noon to 5 p.m.
Place: McCook Auditorium
Trinity College, Hartford

Cost: $15 per person through February 29. $20 per person thereafter.

Andy will bring you to see displaying American Woodcock, doing their just-before-dark courtship flights. IMPORTANT: please wear drab colored clothing. Bright colors distract the birds. Northern Harrier, Bald Eagle, Short-eared Owl, and other non-target birds may also be seen. Limited to 7 participants per date. Each spring, as snow melts and temperatures rise, vernal pools come to life! Many amphibian species rely on vernal pools pools for breeding and unique plants and insects can be found in these seasonal wetlands as well. Join us to search the vernal pools that dot the Connecticut College Arboretum, and look in the other wetland habitats on the property for amphibians, birds, insects, and more!
