Meet ‘Skywalker’ the Golden Eagle, the newest addition to the Horizon Wings Raptor Rehabilitation & Education Center. Skywalker has been reunited with his friend Chrysos a female Golden Eagle and joined by Atka the Bald Eagle. Come see these magnificent birds of prey at the Center at Pomfret. For more information on these Eagles and other birds of prey visit www.horizonwings.org. Suggested donation: $10 per person.

Come for an introduction to the new trail sign network now at Trail Wood. Thanks to the generosity of the Willimantic Rotary, UCONN, The Last Green Valley, and many volunteers, the story of Edwin and Nellie Teale, his books and their love of Trail Wood can now be learned as one explores the trails. Come celebrate, walk and enjoy refreshments around the wood stove. FREE

Center volunteer and mom of three, Melissa Telford will entertain your toddlers with stories, activities and fun along our trails. Wear clothes and boots appropriate for the weather. All children must be accompanied by an adult. Cost per child per day: $5 CAS members; $7 non-members.
