Stop by the Center and see our composting bins, gather information sheets, and unravel the mysteries of composting and vermicomposting. Can’t tell an oak from a maple? A sassafras from a witch hazel? Then this is the walk for you! Explore the trees of the Sanctuary while learning basic tree identification skills. It’s not just leaves that tell the story of a tree’s identity. Get a closer look at bark texture, twigs and leaves using a hand lens and scan the tops of the trees with binoculars.
