Gallery Tour with artist Patrick Lynch

Join us for a private tour of illustrations From A Field Guide to Long Island Sound at the New Haven Free Public Library led by the artist Patrick Lynch at 6:30 p.m.

Meet in the Think Tank room in the library basement where Patrick will open with a discussion on his art followed by a tour of his work in the Ives Gallery.

This event is free for Connecticut Audubon Society members. However due to the location attendance is limited to 25.

Patrick is an author, illustrator, photographer, and artist, and was recently elected to the Board of Directors of the Connecticut Audubon Society.

He retired from Yale University after 45 years as an interactive media designer, medical illustrator, biomedical and scientific photographer, and video producer; and for the past 30 years as director of the media and communications departments, and a designer of interactive multimedia teaching, training, and informational software and Web sites.

Lynch has authored and illustrated eight books, and over 100 professional papers, magazine articles, and book chapters. 

In Yale University Press published A Field Guide to Long Island Sound in 2017. It is a comprehensive guide to the environmental history, natural environments, plants, and animals of the Sound.
