On The Road: Winter Hike at Collis P. Huntington State Park

Step out of your home base and explore wintertime at Collis P. Huntington State Park, a Connecticut gem. The landscape looks quite a bit different without leaves on the ground! This is a peaceful time to enjoy the stark beauty of the forest, so join one of Connecticut Audubon’s naturalists during this mid-week adventure in the woods.

Adults only or teens with permission (no children or strollers). Variable terrain; hiking shoes are recommended. Please dress in layers (weather appropriate) and bring water, a snack and binoculars. Once registered, participants will need to complete a waiver and will be required to practice social distancing and wear masks. Participants will meet at trailhead or designated parking lot at the site; directions and further information will be sent to participants prior to the hike. Inclement weather cancellation notification will be sent to registrants via email and/or text.
