Connecticut Open House Day, now in its 17th year, is an annual event held on the second Saturday of June. This event is planned to inspire Connecticut residents to learn about all the experiences in their own backyard.

We will learn to use the iNaturalist app and go out in the field to collecting observations of plants and animals. Please come with the iNaturalist app
downloaded onto your smartphone, or a digital camera that you can use to capture your observations.

Join us for a story about a simple way we can all add to our natural world. Your child will hear a story about a woman who beautifies her town by spreading flower seeds. The children will be given their own supply of seeds take home to spread. Story appropriate for children in grades 1 to 3, and for experienced younger listeners. Afterwards, join us for a short scavenger hunt around Deer Pond Farm.
