April 9th Shorebird Walk and concert with UK Band Hector Gannet

Join us April 9th at 4 pm…

The folk influenced alt-rock band from England, Hector Gannet, has organized a fun day to celebrate shorebirds, and specifically the Gannet, and to raise money for The Connecticut Audubon Society.

Hector Gannet (named after the rescue boat that was named for the bird), will start the event with a shorebird walk at our Milford Point Sanctuary at 4 pm. Our store will be open for purchases up until 3:30 pm and Hector Gannet will also be selling enamel Gannet pins (cash only) as part of their fundraising efforts.

Following our outing at Milford point, the event moves to Two Roads Brewing Co @ 1700 Stratford Ave, Stratford where the band will commence performing at 6 pm.

The Hector Gannet band cares deeply about wildlife and has a special affinity for the Gannet; it is a threatened species in the UK.

Join us at 4 pm on April 9th for the walk – and/or come along to enjoy music at Two Roads at 6 pm. $1 per beer purchased will be donated to Connecticut Audubon for shorebird work.
