Connecticut Audbon Society

Membership Month Photo Contest

Photo Contest Rules

Are you a photographer, nature lover, or backyard birder? Enter your favorite nature photo in our *Membership Month Photo Contest*! This is your chance to showcase your best shots and celebrate the beauty of birds and nature right here in Connecticut.

Photo Categories:

  • Birds – From songbirds to raptors, share your best shots of birds in action or at rest.
  • Nature & Landscapes – Capture the scenic beauty of Connecticut’s wild places.
  • Backyard Wildlife – Show us the critters and creatures that visit your yard.
  • People in Nature – Celebrate how people enjoy, explore, and connect with nature.

We are seeking digital photographs that highlight the beauty and diversity of Connecticut’s wildlife, plant life, landscapes, and people enjoying the outdoors.

To qualify, photographs must be taken:
• In Connecticut, or
• At Deer Pond Farm New York property in Pawling, NY

Regardless of category, please let us know if your photo was taken at a Connecticut Audubon Society property or sanctuary.

Prizes & Recognition:

Winners in each category will receive a fun grab bag prize — including a Connecticut Audubon hat, a sling pack, and a copy of *Gardening for Birds*.

Selected entries will be featured on our social media. Members will also vote on their favorites to help choose an overall winner in each category.

You may submit images in any of the categories listed above. The photos can be from any time frame, not just September.
