Early Morning Bird Walks with Miley Bull

Join Miley Bull, senior director of science and conservation for The Connecticut Audubon Society, for early morning bird walks at Deer Pond Farm in Sherman, CT.  All levels of birders are welcome on these relaxing excursions along the trails on our way to the birding hot spot.  We will look and listen for early fall migrants  as we collect data for the Connecticut Bird Atlas Survey.  Birds we may encounter include: American Redstart, Yellow Warbler and many other warblers moving through. Our resident woodpeckers, flycatchers, tanagers and grosbeaks are also likely to be seen or heard.

Dress for walks that cover approximately 1.5 miles along moderately hilly terrain and the weather. Inclement weather cancels. Bring binoculars, camera, bug spray, sunscreen and a sense of adventure.
