Plant Sale at NATIVE Nursery in Fairfield to Benefit Connecticut Audubon’s Local Conservation Work

The Connecticut Audubon Society is co-hosting a plant sale with NATIVEa native plant nursery in Fairfield, offering Connecticut trees, shrubs and perennials at remarkable discounts to members of The Connecticut Audubon Society. These native plants have been chosen for their attractiveness to songbirds, hummingbirds, butterflies, bees and other precious wildlife.

All across the state, Connecticut Audubon is working hard to restore its 20 sanctuaries and is in the midst of a $300,000 renovation at the Smith Richardson Wildlife Preserve in Southport and Greens Farms. This sale at NATIVE is the nursery’s generous contribution to that project. The nursery is offering native plants at enormous savings while providing you the opportunity to donate these purchases to the project or plant them in your own home garden.

Connecticut Audubon Society members will receive a 20% discount on all plant purchases. Not a member? You can join here or while you’re at the sale! Supplies may be limited, so get there early to load up on any of the following selections:

  • Trees: Native Oaks, Hickory, Tupelo, Persimmon, Sassafras, Cedar, Aspen, Spruce, Pine, American Holly, Beech, Elm, Hackberry, Mulberry
  • Flowering Trees: Dogwood, Sweetbay Magnolia, Chokeberry, Redbud, Sumac, Devil’s Walking Stick, Hawthorn, Mountain Ash
  • Flowering Shrubs: Witch Hazel, Mountain Laurel, Various Bush Dogwoods, Rosebay Rhododendron, Nannyberry
  • Fruiting Shrubs: Beach/American Plum, Beautyberry, Bayberry, Arrowwood/Viburnum, Highbush Blueberry
