Let’s Talk Turkey in time for Thanksgiving! Join The Connecticut Audubon Society Deer Pond Farm and the Sherman Library for a family friendly program via Zoom to learn about what makes the wild turkey so unique. Cathy Hagadorn, Deer Pond Farm Director will share some fun facts about this now commonly seen bird. You will see some turkey artifacts including an egg and feathers, and hear the distinctive call made only by the males. Cheryl Mandracchia, Coordinator of Children’s Services at the Sherman Library will also share a story and instructions for the pick-up craft activity.
