Join the CT Audubon Society Deer Pond Farm and the Sherman Library for a family friendly program via Zoom “Love Birds” just in time for Valentine’s Day. Cathy Hagadorn, Deer Pond Farm Director, will share some fun facts about the actual parrot Lovebird from Africa and the local birds you may see in Sherman. Learn about some “love bird” behaviors including how birds use their beaks for feeding each other, singing and nest building. Watching birds is a great activity for the whole family! Cheryl Mandracchia, Coordinator of Children’s services at the Sherman Library, will also share a story and instructions for a pick-up craft activity.
