After-School Nature Explorers – SOLD OUT

Wednesdays: October 13, 20, 27; November 3, 10
3:45 – 5:15 p.m.

When the school day is over, students love heading outdoors to become nature explorers at Connecticut Audubon’s Center at Fairfield. Join our teacher/naturalist for a different topic each week based on kids’ interests.

We’ll hike the Sanctuary trails looking for signs of animals like salamanders, worms and small mammals. We’ll use ponding and insect nets to investigate wildlife up-close. And we’ll do hands-on science experiments and crafts that highlight the wonders of nature.

For ages 6 to 8. In case of rain, the program session may be rescheduled. Free for Fairfield residents. Non-residents/CAS Members: $20 per child; Non-residents/CAS Non-members: $25 per child. All dates for this program are sold out.

Once registered, participants will need to complete a waiver. While outdoors, expect to practice social distancing; mask wearing will be optional (but subject to change). Masks and social distancing will be required inside the buiding. This program is at the Center at Fairfield, 2325 Burr Street, Fairfield, CT.
