Join teacher-naturalist, Dick Worth as he tests rocks and soils in the Connecticut Audubon Society’s Larsen Sanctuary. Learn about the geological history of the area and the importance of soil conservation. Participants will test locally found rocks using rock test kits to determine composition and will discuss the affects this has on soils and the ecosystem. All are welcome but children under 10 must be accompanied by an adult. The fee is $6 for Members and $8 for Nonmembers. To register please call 203-259-6305 ext. 109.
