NY Times Writer and New Media Specialist Andrew Revkin To Speak At Our Annual Meeting, September 13

Connecticut Audubon Society invites you to join us on the evening of Thursday, September 13, for our Annual Meeting, featuring a keynote address by Andrew C. Revkin, a former science and environment reporter for The New York Times and current senior fellow at Pace University’s Pace Academy for Applied Environmental Studies

Andy continues to write the Dot Earth blog for the Times, and his particular interest is in using the latest digital technology to help people acquire a better understanding of environmental science issues. Time Magazine just picked his @Revkin Twitter feed as one of the 140 best Twitter feeds of 2012.

(We had previously announced that Howard T. Owens, president of National Geographic Channels US, would speak but a scheduling conflict arose recently.)

The Annual Meeting is open to the public. There is no charge. It is set for Thursday, September 13, at 7:30 p.m., at the Pequot Library, 720 Pequot Avenue, Southport.

Connecticut Audubon Society will also name the recipients of our annual Dave Engelman Volunteer Benchmark Award for outstanding volunteer service.
