Winterize Your Garden

Tuesday, October 20
10 – 11 a.m.

Garden flowers are a distant memory of summer days, but our gardens still have much to offer pollinators throughout the winter. Before you do the fall clean up, join teacher-naturalist Jenn Silberger to discover which plants to leave, which ones to cut down and how leaves in our garden and yard play an important part in the overwintering success of many of our native pollinators. Plus get ideas and tips to help you plan for next year’s garden.

Participants are required to wear masks and practice physical distancing. The program is 100% outdoors around the Pollinator Garden.  Benches adjacent to the garden are available for seating during the program. Please wear appropriate outdoor gear, sturdy, closed-toe footwear, and bring water, apply sunblock and bug spray before arriving. This program may be cancelled or postponed due to adverse weather.

Note: Center building and facilities (including restrooms) are closed, however, there is a portable toilet available (please bring hand sanitizer).
