April 26, 2022 — The Connecticut General Assembly is moving forward with a law to restrict the use of chlorpyrifos, a pesticide that can kill birds and beneficial insects.

Please act now to tell your House member to vote yes.

The reason it is moving forward is because Connecticut Audubon advocates like you spoke out last month. Thank you!

The revised bill is SB 120. It says: “No person shall use or apply chlorpyrifos: (1) On any golf course, or (2) for any cosmetic or nonagricultural use.”

This will lead to less use of a pesticide that is toxic to birds, bees, butterflies and other pollinators.

You can help get it passed. Ask your State Representative to VOTE YES on SB 120.
