Join Miley Bull, senior director of science and conservation for The Connecticut Audubon Society for early morning bird walks at Deer Pond Farm in Sherman, CT. All levels of birders are welcome on these relaxing excursions along the trails on our way to the birding hot spot. We will look, listen and learn for our resident and summer birds as we collect data for the Connecticut Bird Atlas Survey. Birds we may encounter include: Scarlet Tanager, Indigo Bunting, Blue-winged Warbler, Rose-breasted Grosbeak, American Redstart and more!
Dress for walks that cover approximately 1.5 miles along moderately hilly terrain and the weather. Inclement weather cancels. Bring binoculars, camera, bug spray, sunscreen and a sense of adventure.
