The Master Naturalist Woodland Program at the Center at Fairfield provides 40 hours of classroom and field training in four-hour sessions over 10 weeks (see our graduates from 2017 here). Training programs prepare adults of all experience levels to become naturalists in their communities and to contribute to environmental education and conservation efforts through volunteer service.

Classes are taught by field experts. The cost is $250 for members and $305 for non-members (includes membership; to become a member, click here). As part of the tuition, participants must be able to contribute 10 hours of volunteer service within the year following the training. To complete the program, please expect to attend every class.
